Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Prep Cook:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes
• Test foods to determine if they are prepared and cooked correctly
• Store food at correct temperatures to ensure freshness
• Utilize blenders, cutlery, and ovens to prepare food
• Make sure area is clean and all quality and sanitation standards are met, including cold and hot storage
• Help create and plan food and drink menus
• Prepare high-quality dishes in both taste and presentation
• Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and meets quality standards
• Step in for the Executive Chef when needed
• Quickly solve any kitchen issues that arise
• Follow and enforce food safety and cleanliness rules
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with the team and customers

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Prep cooking experience preferred
• Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation
• Possess a valid food handler's card or ServSafe certification - our branch will help provide this training
• Able to work all areas of the kitchen
• Must be clean
• Must be on time
• Must listen to all instruction given
• Must Work the full shift
• Shift can run from 10-12 hrs
