Physical Therapist
A full-time opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist at a respected 289-bed medical center in Margate, Florida. This hospital has earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approvalâ„¢, is certified as a Primary Stroke Center, accredited by the American College of Cardiology as a Chest Pain Center, and recognized as a Comprehensive Bariatric Center of Excellence. The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans based on their functional, therapeutic, and rehabilitative needs. Treatment is delivered using evidence-based physical therapy techniques that support physician-directed plans of care and promote measurable improvements in patient outcomes. Education is an important part of this position, providing patients, family members, and caregivers with the knowledge and tools needed to continue therapy safely outside of formal treatment sessions. The role also includes coordinating daily clinical operations by managing caseload priorities, assisting with staffing needs, and ensuring smooth communication during patient care transitions.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, therapeutic equipment, and prosthetic devices.
Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress accurately and thoroughly.
Coordinate daily caseloads, patient assignments, and clinical workflow.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Current Physical Therapist license required.
Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
