Join our Team! The Big Chill 30A is a family friendly entertainment complex located on historic 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our venue hosts 5 restaurants, 3 bars, retail shops, an arcade, an amphitheater for live music and a 25 LED Jumbotron for sports and movies. We are open year-round, from 7am to 10pm. We are now hiring for our Dish and Utility/Prep Team . We have four different restaurant concepts, including Duos , Local Smoke BBQ , Mile Marker 15 and Tacklebox, all with unique menu offerings. We offer both Full Time and Part Time positions, with flexible scheduling for students/seasonal employees. Responsibilities:
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish area, kitchen, and storage areas
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Assist with trash removal, recycling, and general facility upkeep
- Restock clean dishes and supplies to appropriate stations
- Support kitchen team with basic prep tasks as needed
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
- Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation according to recipes and spec sheets
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and storage
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management team
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time, reach, stoop, bend and lift (up to 30 lbs)
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Current Food Handler certification a plus
- Able to work at least 35 hours per week
