Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. The RN collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage .

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes promptly.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered by physicians.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate care needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
• Advocate for patients and ensure a positive patient care experience.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (acute care preferred but not required)
• BLS AHA Certification (required within 30 days of start)
