Assistant Legal Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing and processing client invoices under guidance from senior billing staff

• Review pre-bills and time entries to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Submit invoices through a variety of e-billing systems

• Respond professionally to billing-related inquiries from attorneys and clients

• Keep organized and detailed billing records

• Perform data entry and assist with month-end billing close

• Learn legal billing protocols and apply firm-specific processes

Assistant Legal Billing Specialist Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in billing or accounting

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with billing software (Aderant a plus)

• Interest in law or legal services

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
