Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician

• Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekends, and holiday emergency service
• Maintain accurate inventory controls of tools, equipment, and supplies
• Assists the Supervisor/Manager on special projects
• Ability to drive long distance occasionally is required
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Minimum 1-year prior experience
• Able to provide documentation of valid work status in the US
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Ability to kneel, stand or bend and be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Roadway maintenance experience/MOT Certifications (+ but not mandatory)
• Ability to work flexible and/or extended/Saturday hours depending on demands and adjust to changing work schedule
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
• Ability to work safely under extreme weather conditions (heat and precipitation)
• Ability and willingness to take directions and follow through as directed
• Ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude
• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including blowers, lawn mowers, pressure washers, and small hand/power tools
• Outstanding communication and Interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers and/or clients in a pleasant manner
• Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

• Work in a fast-paced environment
