Part-Time Accounts Payable Analyst
 About the Role 
 Florida International Terminal (FIT) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive  Part-Time Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Finance team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payments, while maintaining vendor relationships and upholding compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. 
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Part-Time Accounts Payable Analyst will actively participate in day-to-day operations related to accounts payable, vendor management, reporting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with SAP and other enterprise systems.
What You'll Do
- Register invoices and approved purchase orders in SAP and EAM to ensure timely and accurate processing.
 - Manage the complete accounts payable workflow from invoice receipt through payment disbursement.
 - Maintain strong relationships with vendors by addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly.
 - Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including vendor performance metrics and contract terms.
 - Maintain a complete and organized filing system for vendor records and payable documentation.
 - Support month-end and year-end close processes, including credit card, fuel data, rental equipment, and workers’ compensation reconciliations.
 - Assist with internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation.
 - Review employee expense claims and oversee payment runs.
 - Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
 
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
 - 1+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (SAP ERP preferred).
 - Experience using EAM or other purchase order systems preferred.
 - Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements preferred.
 - Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting preferred.
 - Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
 - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
 - Participation in pre-employment and random drug testing.
 
Physical & Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing; ability to lift 10–25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
 - Occasional climbing and working at heights of six feet or more.
 - Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
 - Part-Time schedule at a maximum of 30 hours per week.
