Position Title: Facility Manager

Work Arrangement: On-site

Location: Miami Gardens, FL

Duration: 6 months

Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent)

Who we are looking for/Requirements:

Required Skills/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience managing facilities, preferably in an academic or institutional setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to manage teams and external contractors with professionalism and efficiency.

Performance Objectives/What you'll be doing:

• Ensure all campus buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and fully functional.
• Supervise HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs, including preventive maintenance schedules.
• Oversee third-party contractors (janitorial, landscaping, etc.) and ensure quality service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire safety, and other regulations through regular inspections.
• Supervise and support custodial and maintenance staff; assign tasks and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate facility logistics for university events, including setup and breakdown.
• Monitor facility budgets, approve purchases, and manage inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Assist with small renovations and campus improvement initiatives.
