Position Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NSEOD), Niceville, FLClearance Requirement: Tier 3 (T3) background investigation / IT-II level access
Employment Type: 1099 - Full-time, 7-month contract (28 August 2025 27 March 2026)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Onsite Program Manager or Site Lead Position Summary: The Logistics Specialist will provide logistics and material support services for Navy EOD training operations at NSEOD. This role supports the daily movement, tracking, inventory, and coordination of supplies and training materials, including inert ordnance and diving equipment. The candidate must be detail-oriented, mission-focused, and able to operate in a dynamic military training environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, inventory, and issue supplies, materials, equipment, and training aids.
- Maintain inventory records in the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
- Track material status, generate usage reports, and reconcile supply data.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), if required.
- Conduct regular inspections of storage areas and maintain compliance with OSHA and Navy safety standards.
- Ensure physical security and key control of government property.
- Interface with instructors, students, and command staff to fulfill material requests.
- Support quality control reporting and participate in corrective action implementation, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant logistics or warehouse experience; prior DoD support preferred.
- Familiarity with Navy logistics systems, inventory control, and supply documentation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate in outdoor/warehouse environments.
- Valid U.S. drivers license required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for base access and Tier 3 background investigation.
- HAZMAT or MHE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
