Project Engineer IV

ATSS has a client in Panama City, FL looking for a Project Engineer.

This is a Direct Hire role.

Qualifications Required

•15 or more years of experience in an engineering capacity
•Intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience
•Read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
•Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management and leaders from other department leaders.
•Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
•Strong understanding in viewing or use of FORAN or similar software such as AVEVA, NUPAS CADMATIC, ShipConstructor or similar CAD/CAM software
•Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, display attention for detail, and function as a team player.
•History working with typical Regulatory Body Requirements associated with the shipbuilding industry (i.e., ABS, 46 CFR, IEEE, and The US Coast Guard)

Desired
•Strong experience planning and implementing projects with groups of up to 20 people or more.
•Strong understanding of the engineering and design process of marine vessels
•Strong knowledge of engineering drawing and design products. Ability to read and interpret engineering products.

Educational Requirements
•The Project Engineer Level 4 must have as a minimum a B.S. in any Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture discipline from an ABET-accredited institution (advanced degree preferred) and at least 6 years of directly applicable Project Engineering or Project Management experience.
