Accounts Payable Clerk

Eastern Waste Systems is a privately owned, locally operated Residential Bulk Removal Company experiencing rapid growth. We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our office team and contribute to our continued success.

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a reliable team player who is quick to learn, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and code invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests in accordance with company standards.
• Match purchase orders with incoming invoices and ensure all supporting documentation is complete.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and purchase orders.
• Prepare and process batch check runs.
• Assist with monthly reporting and financial closings.
• Reconcile accounts by identifying and correcting posting errors or omissions.
• Maintain accurate filing systems for accounting documents and reports.
• Perform high-volume data entry and scanning with precision and attention to documentation requirements.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Meet critical deadlines, including check runs, month-end closings, and mailings.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and organized office environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBooks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High degree of integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Compensation:

• Salary: $25 - $28, based on experience
• Full-time, Monday – Friday
