Bilingual Telephone Operator
Summary: Relays incoming telephone calls, and performs various clerical duties in a professional manner by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to:
Answers multi-line telephone system, takes accurate messages, screens and directs calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.
Greets and identifies patients as they enter the office, and obtains additional patient information as needed.
Requests patients and visitors be seated in the waiting room in a courteous manner and communicates unexpected delays when necessary.
Reviews patient charts to ensure proper documentation and information are enclosed.
Acquires necessary medical records and documents for patient charts by communicating via telephone, facsimile or in person with other office locations or office personnel.
Maintains a neat and orderly waiting room and orders supplies as needed.
Schedules patients for appointments and “re-call” appointments in an efficient and productive manner.
Receives payments from patients for services rendered and prepares bank deposits on a daily basis.
Enters financial transactions and miscellaneous correspondence on the computer.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree ( GED); and 1-2 years related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one- on -one situations to patients, visitors, and other employees of the organization.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet software, Email software, and patient data base.
Work Environment:
The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
The employee must have close vision ability. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and arms, talk and hear.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
