Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Screener in Davenport, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $15.70 / Hour

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and site procedures, documenting activity and referring concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and/or other assigned posts to help support authorized entry and help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and completing required reports related to security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
