What You'll Do
- Lead and manage capital projects in a steel mill from conception to completion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (suppliers, contractors, and CMC employees) to define project scope, budget, and schedule
- Design and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projects
- Develop specifications, bid packages, construction schedules, etc. to insure completion of projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing or industrial sector(5+ yrs).
- Strong Understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to manage projects across various disciplines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
- Experience in steel manufacturing or other heavy industry
- Knowledge of other engineering disciplines (civil, metallurgical)
Your Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
