What You'll Do

• Lead and manage capital projects in a steel mill from conception to completion
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (suppliers, contractors, and CMC employees) to define project scope, budget, and schedule
• Design and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projects
• Develop specifications, bid packages, construction schedules, etc. to insure completion of projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing or industrial sector(5+ yrs).
• Strong Understanding of engineering principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to manage projects across various disciplines.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
• Experience in steel manufacturing or other heavy industry
• Knowledge of other engineering disciplines (civil, metallurgical)

Your Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
