Church Office Coordinator
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Church Office Administrator to support the daily operations and ministries of their parish. This person will serve as a key point of contact for clergy, staff, parishioners, and the wider community. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive) is essential for managing office communications, schedules, and documents efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and document organization
 - Serve as the primary contact for internal and external communications—representing the church with warmth, discretion, and professionalism
 - Prepare weekly bulletins, announcements, newsletters, and other communications for parishioners and the broader community
 - Coordinate church calendars, meeting schedules, and room reservations
 - Support clergy and ministry leaders with administrative needs, reports, and document preparation
 - Maintain parish records, databases, and contact lists securely and accurately
 - Assist with volunteer coordination and communication across ministries
 - Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and general administrative logistics
 - Use Microsoft 365 tools to organize documents, streamline communication, and enhance collaboration among staff and volunteers
 
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in administrative or office support roles (church or nonprofit experience preferred)
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with clergy, parishioners, and the public
 - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive)
 - Exceptional organization and attention to detail
 - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
 - Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic ministry environment
 - Familiarity with church management software, wordpress editing, or social media platforms is a plus
