State Income Tax Graduate Intern, Spring 2026

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2026 – June 2026.
What You Will Do
This role is part of the Income Tax group within Tax Operations. Key responsibilities of the internship include:
Assisting in the preparation of the company’s state income tax returns for all worldwide business units
Gathering and analyzing data, performing computations, and preparing work papers for tax returns, provisions, forecasts and projects
Preparing state income tax estimates, extensions and returns for a diverse group of businesses conducting multi-national operations
Collaborating with tax, business and accounting partners to obtain data necessary for tax calculations and reporting
Researching income tax compliance-related issues
Identifying tax process enhancements and automation opportunities
Analyzing and preparing responses to state notices
Acting as an embedded team member within Disney’s Corporate Tax Center of Excellence (COE)
Drafting user manuals for the department to outline Standard Operating Guidelines
Required Qualifications & Skills
Process Improvement mind set (Tech Savvy)
Intermediate Excel – Previous experience with v-lookups, pivot tables, power pivot
Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe (able to edit and merge pdf files)
Strong ability to learn new computer programs quickly
Able to multi-task and possess strong time management skills
Adaptable to change, easily pivots
Team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment
Strong analytical thinker that is not afraid to ask questions when needed
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Some familiarity/knowledge of:
SAP
OneSource Income Tax
Research Institute of America (RIA) or similar research software
Alteryx
Co-Pilot
Education
Currently enrolled in a GRADUATE degree program in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Analytics or other related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a GRADUATE degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR a graduate student currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
This internship is an on-site position, but also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.
Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program
