Elementary Assistant/Teacher for Montessori Ages 6 to 9 Classroom
Summary This teaching position supports students by creating a happy, caring, and safe learning environment. S/he must be able to communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment. Assist the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the students. Maitland Montessori School is a well-established and respected Montessori school. Training could be offered to the right candidate should they wish to work towards a Montessori credential. Duties
- Lesson Planning

- Assist in the maintenance of the learning environment
- Attend all staff meetings an programs sponsored by Maitland Montessori School
- Actively seeking professional growth and development
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Work well in a team
- Become familiar with Montessori philosophy
- Must clear full Background check
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Qualify for Infant/Child CPR and First aid certification within the first month of hire
- Enthusiasm and energetic
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bachelors Degree
- Montessori teaching experience
- Teaching experience
- Paid Federal Holidays when the school is closed
- 3 weeks paid vacation to start when school is closed
- 50% Health Insurance contribution
- Option to work 10 or 12 months of the year
