Marketing Product Manager

Job Summary:

The Product Manager will manage the full product lifecycle for the product. This role will collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to execute on a 5-year product roadmap. This individual will need a blend of technical knowledge, market insights, strategic thinking and project execution skills to ensure the alignment of the product category to the customer’s needs. The Product Manager will determine and oversee the delivery of the strategy, marketing efforts and roadmap for the products to achieve both customer (buyers and users) outcomes and organizational financial objectives. The Product Manager is effectively the ‘voice of the customer in the product’. The Product Manager continuously uses data to empower decision making and inform product direction in ways that build toward positive business outcomes for the division and the customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a five-year product roadmap aligned with Sy-Klone’s strategy and market trends.
  • Lead product strategy, development, planning, and lifecycle management efforts to evolve and innovate the product line.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product scope, features, and technical requirements based on customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain product roadmaps and release plans that align with business objectives and customer outcomes.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and KPIs to evaluate product performance and guide strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and sales to ensure timely and quality delivery of products to market.
  • Guide product marketing activities to support adoption, customer training, and brand awareness.
  • Conduct market research, trend analysis, and competitive assessments to inform product strategy.
  • Manage product certification, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property protections (e.g., trademarks).
  • Oversee testing, validation, and field trials to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
  • Maintain oversight of product lifecycle from ideation through launch to phase-out.
  • Lead SKU rationalization and portfolio optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering and sales teams to develop product content and technical documentation.
  • Facilitate training programs to educate internal teams and customers on product use, maintenance, and service.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate product cost structures and support cost optimization strategies.

  • Skilled in project management, product marketing, and lifecycle planning.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and product testing protocols.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in product management within a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in leading product strategies from concept to market.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, operations, and marketing.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • At times may need to work in an Industrial warehouse environment with varying work levels and uneven surface areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs when necessary.
  • Normal auditory, visual acuity including depth perception and peripheral vision, ambulatory ability and dexterity.
