SUMMARY:

The Component Designer II is under the direct stewardship of the Sr . Production Manager (PDM). The Component Designer II serves as the primary resource for time-intensive design and drawing/modeling tasks for producing construction documents. Component Designer II operates in a fast-paced environment where a disciplined nature, resourcefulness, and attention to detail are critical. The Component Designer II position is the next phase of the position, where the individual will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and efficiency, as well as operate at an intermediate level and be exposed to deeper discipline specific concepts.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Design and Modeling
• Create designs for mid-level, one- and two-story houses suitable for manufacturing
• Identify copy source and create/modify new design for mid-level one- and two-story houses suitable for manufacturing
• Create designs for mid-level multifamily and commercial projects
• Prepare Site Specific Construction Documents
• Account Care & Maintenance
• Sole responsibility for accounts as assigned by PDM
• Forecast and follow through regarding weekly site-specific goals and expectations in collaboration with PDM for Level 1 Clients
• Familiarity with clients base plans and design preferences
• Project Tracking and Communication
• Maintain log of work performed
• Effectively track time and job status to maintain efficient workflow
• Efficient and Competent use of project tracking software
• Communicate effectively with PDM
• Communicate effectively with clients and outside design professionals as needed
• Use available resources efficiently and effectively
• All other assigned duties

KNOWLEDGE:

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of design experience
• Intermediate Knowledge of Alpine Suite and AutoCAD software preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
