Inventory Management Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Management Assistant to oversee our end-to-end supply chain operations. You will be the critical link between our design studio and manufacturing partners, ensuring seamless inventory flow from factory floor to customer doorstep.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Oversight & Reporting

Generate and analyze regular inventory reports to track stock levels, turnover rates, and demand forecasting

Monitor SKU performance and flag slow-moving or at-risk inventory

Maintain real-time visibility across multiple warehouses and fulfillment centers

Factory & Supplier Relations

Serve as primary liaison with overseas manufacturing partners (primarily Chinese-speaking factories)

Communicate production timelines, capacity constraints, and quality standards

Conduct negotiations on pricing, minimum order quantities, and lead times to optimize costs

Procurement & Purchase Orders

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders based on inventory forecasts and sales velocity

Route all POs for internal approval and payment processing

Track order status from placement through delivery, resolving delays proactively

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with design team to align new product launches with inventory planning

Coordinate with logistics on inbound freight and customs clearance

Support finance team with vendor invoice reconciliation

Qualifications

2+ years experience in inventory management, supply chain, or procurement—preferably in furniture, home goods, or consumer products

Business-proficient Mandarin Chinese required for factory negotiations and relationship management

Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and inventory management software

Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings

Highly organized with ability to manage multiple SKUs and vendor relationships simultaneously

Experience with international shipping, Incoterms, and import logistics preferred
