The Role:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for working collaboratively with clients, partners, and staff to provide comprehensive accounting services. They are also responsible for managing client relationships and working with the accounting team to continually improve firm processes, procedures, and team development.

Essential Functions:

• Review of various accounting engagements
• Must understand the difference between compilations and preparation engagements
• Review and manage business personal property, storage, vehicle renditions
• Experience with client engagement letters- review for compliance and manage the preparation for all accounting clients
• Manage accounting projects for the firm and team member assignments
• Preparation of higher level accounting projects
• Preparation of reviewed financial statements
• Preparation of full disclosure compilation reports
• GAAP research, other basis of accounting knowledge, and review of accounting projects completed by team
• Deepen relationships with clients and accounting team through proactive communications
• Participates in recruiting, training, and mentoring team members
• Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
• Solid understanding of accounting topics, theory, and financial statement presentation

• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet accounting compliance deadlines
• Self-directed and self-motivated work ethic that contributes to the client service team by producing quality work with quick turnaround and attentive service
• Advanced QuickBooks knowledge
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills

QuickBooks test will be part of the pre-screening interview process.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in public accounting
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA firm experience is preferred
• Must be willing to work some overtime during busy filing months - January, April, July, and October

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
