Construction Coordinator

Pay: $60,000-$80,000

Overview

This role involves overseeing overhead and underground construction activities, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating project execution. The position requires field presence and active supervision to meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line Connectivity & Platforms, framing and strand poles, transferring facilities between poles, placing Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and trailers.
• Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
• Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.
• Supports specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects.
• Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
• Reviews, resolves, and follows up on customer requests and complaints.
• Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives.
• Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; able to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff performing similar tasks.
• Sets priorities for the team, assigns tasks, and checks work at regular intervals.
• Ensures all work performed on the project meets or exceeds Comcast, local, state, or federal standards and regulations.
• Updates the JT or Polaris entry (job docs/maps) QC for path verification.
• Acts as the primary contractor interface in the field and as the NGAN liaison with regional network technicians.
• Ensures new or upgraded power supplies are in place and operational prior to cut date.
• Maintains overall responsibility for the quality of the NGAN product, from construction to handoff.
• Expected to spend approximately 90% of time in the field.

• Proficiency with project documentation tools such as JT or Polaris

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Connectivity & Platforms installation
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve project issues
• Experience with NGAN or similar network infrastructure
• Strong leadership and team management skills
