Position Responsibilities:
In collaboration with Office Coordinator (OC), the assistant office coordinator (AOC) will oversee all related functions or administrative projects as necessary.
AOC coordinates the day-to-day activities for the assigned team. Arranges team efforts in order to accomplish target projects and activities meeting timeline and specified requirements.
In collaboration with the OC provide counsel to other team members and staff regarding performance, attendance and other matters of concern to the staff. Acts as a guide for departmental practices and policies.
Serves as a liaison between staff, management and other department on day-to-day issues & Gathers information and conducts research on special projects as required by the department.
Keeps track, evaluates and provides feedback on assigned projects. Monitors implementation and outcome of programs or projects as required.
In collaboration with OC, Manager and Director as requested. Ensures the implementation of administrative duties as assigned by the OC, Director or Manager.
Establishes and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers and other members of the hospital.
Follows Patient Safety goals as established by the department; supports effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provides an on-going proactive approach to reduce risk; integrates patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.
Is available to participate as a member of either Team A or Team B of the Hurricane Activation Plan, as assigned.
Reports incidents to the OC, and Manager and/or Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.
Complies with current Hospital security and safety polices & All other tasks assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
1-3 years experience in a physician practice/healthcare setting or other relevant supervisory experience preferred.
High School Diploma Required, Technical or Associate Degree is preferred.
