Medical Assistant
Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Medical Assistant. This role focuses on supporting patients, coordinating healthcare-related administrative tasks, maintaining medical records, and assisting healthcare teams in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities
- Support patient scheduling and appointment coordination
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Verify and update patient information
- Assist with telehealth appointment preparation
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers
- Process medical forms and healthcare documentation
- Support patient onboarding and intake processes
- Track follow-up appointments and care coordination activities
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Assist with insurance and billing-related documentation
- Respond to patient inquiries and support requests
- Support daily healthcare administrative operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required where applicable
- Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field is a plus
- 0–2 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, administration, or support roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn healthcare software systems
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused mindset
