Job Summary of the Staff Accountant

The responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, analysis, accounting close processes, assisting with auditor requests, and maintaining documentation. You will also be assisting the manager as needed and responding to information requests by management.

Requirements of the Staff Accountant

• Bachelors in job-related study


• MBA (Master in Business Administration), a plus


• Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant), a plus


• 0+ years relevant experience


• Public company Industry experience, a plus


• Previous public accounting experience, a plus

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

The specific duties of the Staff Accountant include but are not limited to

• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.


• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.


• Participate in monthly close processes.


• Maintaining documentation for transactions and journal entries.


• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.


• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.


• Ensuring compliance with GAAP.


• Performing other duties as assigned by Manager.


• Complying with all company policies, procedures, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 internal controls.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus.

Salary Range

$55,075—$68,843 USD
