We are expanding our catering and off-premise event services and are seeking a driven, energetic Catering Manager to lead and grow our catering division while increasing our visibility in the community.

Position Summary
The Catering Manager is responsible for managing all catering operations and off-premises event services for the restaurant group. This role oversees client relationships, daily catering order management, and ensures consistent execution of events that reflect the group’s brand standards across both culinary lines.
This is a revenue-driven leadership role focused on sales growth, community presence, operational excellence, and flawless event execution.

This position reports to the Operational Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Relationship Management
  • The Catering Sales & Events Manager is responsible for driving catering revenue growth while overseeing the successful execution of all on- and off-premise events. This is a highly sales-focused role requiring proactive prospecting, relationship building, and contract closing, in addition to operational oversight
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and individual customers to generate catering revenue and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage client inquiries, proposals, contracts, and ensure proper funding and deposits are secured.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active corporate and event clients.
  • Participate in Chamber and networking events to increase brand visibility.
  • Work closely with the media and marketing department to promote catering services and drive sales growth.
Catering Operations
  • Manage all catering functions ranging from small corporate events to large-scale weddings and banquets.
  • Coordinate with chefs and culinary teams to arrange menu selections and event specifications.
  • Partner with operations teams and managers to deliver flawless guest experiences.
  • Oversee event logistics including setup, execution, transportation, and breakdown.
Staff Leadership & Scheduling
  • Ensure professionalism, efficiency, and adherence to brand standards at all times.
Inventory & Cost Management
  • Perform inventory management to maintain accurate product valuation and minimal waste.
  • Manage food, beverage, and labor costs while maintaining quality standards and profitability.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure staff meets quality assurance standards and maintains a clean, organized environment.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Menu Knowledge & Brand Representation
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, presentation standards, and pricing.
  • Ensure all catered events reflect the Don Julio Restaurant Group brand image and service expectations.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of catering or restaurant management experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to support diverse guests and team communication
  • Proven sales and client relationship management experience
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organized
  • Proficiency in catering management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work extended hours
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be insurable under company auto insurance policy.
  • Ability to safely drive and operate a company catering van for event transport.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 annually (depending on experience)
  • Sales Commission: Up to 10% based on revenue targets
