Position Summary
The Ophthalmic Technician plays a vital role in supporting our eye doctors and ensuring a seamless patient experience. This position is responsible for preparing patients for examination, performing diagnostic testing, and assisting with clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
● Prepare patients for examination, including obtaining medical history and chief complaints
● Perform preliminary testing, including:
● Visual acuity
● Lensometry
● Pupillary function
● Ocular motility
● Goldmann applanation tonometry
● Confrontation visual fields
● Manual refraction (as directed)
● Administer eye medications as instructed
● Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures
● Accurately document patient information in the medical record
● Perform specialized diagnostic testing, including:
● Pachymetry
● Brightness Acuity Testing (BAT)
● Visual Fields (VF)
● Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
● Fluorescein Angiography (FA)
● Corneal Topography
● Argos lens measurements
● Color vision testing
● Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment

Qualifications
Required:
● High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
● Minimum of 1 year of ophthalmology experience
● COA or COT certification (a plus, but not required)
