Description:

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, operating in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy and a part of Trinity Health.

Delivering quality professional nursing care to the Medical Oncology patient, working as an integral part of the healthcare team, collaborating with physicians/nurses regarding patient treatment plans, performing detailed assessments of patients.
This is a Full-time position.

Position Purpose: specializes in caring for cancer patients within a healthcare group practice, providing comprehensive care including assessment, treatment administration, education, and emotional support to patients undergoing cancer treatment, while collaborating closely with other medical professionals like oncologists and other specialists within the group.

What you will do:

* Performs initial and ongoing assessment on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.

* Establishes plan of care in timely manner, according to Policy and Procedure based on findings of initial assessment.

* Provides patient and/or family members with explanation of condition as necessary and written information when possible.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors is required.

Experience & Skills:

Previous medical oncology experience in an acute care facility.

Licensure/Certification:

* ONS Chemo Biotherapy course on hire or within 6 months of hire required

* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.

* Current BLS Certification Required - AHA
