Company Description
We are looking for a Pool & Beach Server to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.
Set to open its doors in early 2026, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 171 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand’s flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality. Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel.
Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the guidance of the Bellini Bar Manager, the Pool and Beach Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests ensuring each experience is attentive, anticipatory, and aligned with our brand standards. This role provides personalized service across pool decks, cabanas, and beach areas while maintaining pristine presentation, operational efficiency, and safety compliance. Working collaboratively with all departments, the Pool & Beach Server contributes to a seamless, high-quality guest experience in a dynamic, high-volume setting.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide warm, professional guest greeting and maintain attentive, anticipatory service throughout the guest experience.
- Present menus, confidently describe food and beverage offerings, and make knowledgeable recommendations.
- Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS system in a timely manner, clearly noting allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests.
- Communicate all allergies or dietary information directly to the kitchen and management to ensure guest safety and proper preparation.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation, correct placement, and confirmation of order accuracy..
- Monitor tables consistently, anticipate guest needs, and conduct satisfaction check-backs.
- Upsell premium spirits, signature cocktails, wine, champagne, and featured menu items to maximize revenue.
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing tables, cabanas, and service areas at all times.
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines in accordance with hotel policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and adhere strictly to Responsible Alcohol Service standards.
- Process payments accurately and securely in compliance with POS and cash handling procedures.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest feedback and concerns, ensuring positive resolutions.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down pool and beach events or activities as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to enhance service quality and professional development.
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
- We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to, on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Previous experience in hospitality, pool/beach services, or Food and Beverage preferred.
- Strong guest service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often in outdoor conditions.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing (up to 20lbs+), bending, and reaching.
- Observant and proactive with the ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pool and beach environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and peak outdoor season hours.
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations.
- Additional language ability preferred.
- All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific department uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you by your supervisor.
