Job description:

1. Team Leadership & Workflow Oversight: Supervise daily operations of the revenue cycle team, ensuring efficient insurance verification, referral, and authorization processes while fostering a collaborative and engaged work environment. This role has between 8-10 direct reports.
2. Performance Monitoring & Staff Development: Track KPIs, address performance gaps, and implement productivity metrics. Provide ongoing training in account interpretation, EOBs, patient financial responsibility, and customer service.
3. Compliance & Communication Management: Maintain payer guidelines, monitor prior authorization requirements, and report coding or compliance issues. Establish consistent feedback channels across departments.
4. Account Review & Financial Adjustments: Approve patient account adjustments, oversee bad debt prelisting, and ensure accurate documentation for collections and payment plans.
5. System Expertise & Cross-Departmental Support: Serve as a super user of the Practice Management system. Enforce HR policies and support training initiatives across departments.

Requirements:

• Must have (5)+ years of basic knowledge: medical billing, coding, and insurance verification
• Must have (2) years of recent AR/AP experience
• Must have (2) years of recent supervisory experience and operations management
• Must be able to interpret payer contracts and medical coverage guidelines
• Must be able to navigate insurance denials and patient collections/charge capture
• Must be computer proficient: MS Office, practice management software, EMR
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required
