Regional Multi-Family (Affordable) Operations Manager

Your Responsibilities as a Wendover Regional Operations Manager
Team Leadership
- Recruit, lead, and retain service-driven, results-oriented community teams
- Deliver frequent coaching, feedback, and mentorship that drives growth, performance and value
- Conduct consistent performance feedback with clarity, fairness, and alignment to Wendover’s culture
- Foster a shared responsibility environment where diverse voices and collaboration thrive
Financial & Business Management
- Drive full financial performance of your portfolio
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes
- Monitor financial results, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving strategies
- Champion operational efficiencies and process improvements across communities
Property & Asset Oversight
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to company standards
- Oversee maintenance, make-ready, preventative maintenance and capital programs
- Ensure forward-looking occupancy, leasing, and turnover strategies are in place and executed upon
- Audit lease files, vendor contracts, and compliance documents regularly
Resident Experience & Service Excellence
- Ensure outstanding customer service to residents, vendors, investors, and partners
- Support timely responses to resident requests and oversee resolution of service issues
- Champion community-wide programs and events that reflect Wendover’s mission
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with all safety, regulatory, and Fair Housing requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation, inspection readiness, and risk mitigation protocols
- Uphold zero lost-time accident standards and model safety-first leadership
- Solid experience in Affordable Tax Credit who can confidently review work and share their knowledge through training
Compensation includes competitive base pay and quarterly performance-based bonuses!
Requirements
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred
- Property management designation strongly preferred (CAM, CAPS, or CPM)
- Minimum 3 years of multi-site leadership experience in property management
- Strong LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) knowledge required
- Proven ability to manage budgets, occupancy, compliance, and vendor relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, property management software, and social media platforms
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a polished, professional presence
- Highly organized with strong time management abilities
- A service-first mindset and the ability to collaborate across departments
- A strong sense of pride in your work and a heart for service
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset toward compliance, safety and presentation

Working Conditions & Expectations
· Frequent interaction with residents, teammates, vendors, and prospects in-person, by phone, and via email or text
· Position requires walking the property regularly, entering units, and supporting team members across the leasing office and community spaces
· May involve lifting marketing materials or light office supplies (up to 25 lbs.)
· Dress code is professional and consistent with Wendover’s polished, approachable brand
· Must maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times
