Assistant Restaurant Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Greet and welcome guests per Marriott standards.
· Supervise, direct and perform all aspects of the restaurant & bar operations.
· Supervise and direct restaurant service plans and actions to achieve improved operations, overcome deficiencies, and instigate necessary changes
· Responsible for maintaining and ensuring professional and hospitable service by their associates through ongoing training and reinforcement by modeling these behaviors, positive reinforcement, and by taking corrective disciplinary measures
· A thorough knowledge of Marriott’s Culture, and the importance of sincere service and hospitality.
· Daily inspection of restaurant and bar readiness according to standards (e.i cleanliness, inventory, organizing, updated menus, employee uniforms, etc)
· Regular inspection of all areas in order to direct work; emphasis to be on sanitation and cleanliness
· Handle guest complaints in the most diplomatic manner.
· Spot check guest checks to ensure proper check handling procedures are being adhered to.
· Maintain cleanliness of restaurant and bar; oversee side duty completion.
· Operate POS system to process checks and any other transactions.
· Awareness of budget and continuous work toward achieving budgeted goals
· Keep storeroom in a state of readiness, cleanliness and tidiness. Maintain weekly inventory of all controllable items.
· Schedule servers, hosts, food runners and bar personnel with forecasted business insuring that staffing is adequate and yet within budgetary goals.
· Schedule and administer training for new FOH associates; provide ongoing guidance and training opportunities to all FOH restaurant employees.
· Conduct daily pre-service meetings.
· Work closely with all other Food and Beverage leadership team members to ensure the smooth operation of restaurant services.
· Other responsibilities as assigned by Executive Chef or General Manager.

· Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
· Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
· Follow all company policies and procedures.
· Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
· Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
· Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
· Ensure a professional appearance, a clean uniform, and adherence to other company appearance standards.

This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Pinnacle Hotel Management. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process.
