About the Role 

The Financial Analyst is based in our HQ in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and supports revenue integrity, cash flow predictability, and financial insight across a behavioral health organization through detailed analysis of healthcare billing and claims data. This individual contributor role focuses on evaluating reimbursement trends, payer performance, and authorization-driven billing activity, translating complex data into clear financial and operational insights. The position requires experience with ABA services and healthcare reimbursement methodologies; experience with out-of-network billing is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze high-volume claims, payments, denials, adjustments, and accounts receivable data to assess revenue performance and cash flow trends
  • Support revenue forecasting, contractual allowance modeling, and collectability assessments in partnership with Finance and Revenue Cycle teams
  • Evaluate payer reimbursement methodologies, authorization-driven billing outcomes, and timing of cash collections
  • Identify revenue leakage, denial root causes, underpayments, and operational or compliance risk impacting financial performance
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making and revenue integrity initiatives
  • Partner with billing, authorization, and operations teams to investigate variances and recommend process improvements
  • Deliver clear, executive-ready financial and operational analysis to Finance and Revenue Cycle leadership
  • Support ad hoc financial analyses, audits, and payer-related inquiries as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required and;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, reimbursement, or financial analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
  • Strong working knowledge of claims adjudication processes, payer reimbursement methodologies, and payer behavior
  • Experience with ABA or behavioral health billing strongly preferred
  • Out-of-network billing experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, high-impact analysis that directly informs financial reporting and decision-making
  • Proven success as a highly analytical individual contributor supporting senior finance and revenue cycle stakeholders
  • Must maintain clean background and drug screenings.
