Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MS SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in Tampa, FL. This role requires expertise in SQL Server development and experience with distributed, high-performance databases like MemSQL (SingleStore) . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hybrid environment and will bring strong database development, optimization, and data integration experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server database solutions, including stored procedures, views, functions, and indexing strategies.
- Work with MemSQL/SingleStore for real-time data ingestion and querying.
- Optimize database performance, including troubleshooting bottlenecks and query tuning.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and application developers to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Implement data transformation and migration processes using ETL tools and scripting.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to best practices in SQL development and database design.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in MS SQL Server development
- Hands-on experience with MemSQL (SingleStore) or other distributed SQL databases
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL , performance tuning, and query optimization
- Experience in ETL development using tools like SSIS or custom scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Understanding of database architecture , indexing , partitioning , and data modeling
- Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming architectures
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
- Good communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of NoSQL and Big Data technologies
- Experience with CI/CD for database deployments
- Exposure to Power BI or other reporting tools
- Agile development experience
