About Our Rehabilitation Team:

Comprised of over 700 team members, our Rehabilitation team at Lee Health is dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence through comprehensive, patient-centered care. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work collaboratively with medical teams to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs. In addition to core rehab services, we offer a range of specialty programs including neurological rehabilitation, vestibular and balance therapy, lymphedema management, pelvic health therapy, and oncology rehabilitation. With services available across acute care, inpatient, and outpatient settings, our team delivers high-quality, compassionate care that supports recovery, restores function, and enhances quality of life.

Our Rehabilitation Team offers PRN Opportunities in a multitude of different settings such as: Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, Outpatient, & Pediatrics. See information below about each setting!

Acute Care: Our acute care rehabilitation teams provide intensive, short-term therapy to help patients recover quickly from illness, injury, or surgery. Physical, occupational, and speech-language pathologists collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, goal-driven care, focusing on early mobilization, functional recovery, and safe transitions to home or the next level of care. Our 5 acute care hospitals include Lee Memorial Hospital, Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Medical Center (Level II Trauma Center), Healthpark Medical Center, and Golisano Childrens Hospital of Southwest Florida (Level III NICU).

Outpatient: At our 14 outpatient locations , our physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists provide specialized, evidence-based care for patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery, or managing chronic conditions. We treat a wide range of diagnoses, from orthopedic and neurological conditions to stroke, cardiac and pulmonary challenges, and speech or swallowing impairments. Our services include vestibular rehab, hand therapy, neurological rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, post-surgical rehab, pelvic therapy, and more. With one-on-one, 45-minute sessions and a maximum of 10 patients per day , we focus on delivering personalized care that improves mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. Clinics are located across Southwest Florida in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Estero, and Bonita Springs .

Skilled Nursing: For patients who are medically stable but need extra support before returning home, our 2 Skilled Nursing Units and Skilled Nursing Facility provide comprehensive post-acute care. We offer short-term rehabilitation and transitional care for those recovering from surgery, heart events, strokes, or acute illnesses, as well as long-term care when needed. Our interdisciplinary teams deliver physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help patients regain independence, ensuring safe, supported, and successful transitions.

Pediatrics: At our 7 outpatient pediatric locations , we provide specialized therapy for children and young adults recovering from injuries, neurological conditions, developmental delays, or chronic illnesses. Our physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists treat conditions such as cerebral palsy, brain or spinal cord injuries, orthopedic challenges, speech and language disorders, and sensory processing difficulties. Using individualized, evidence-based, family-centered care, we help children improve mobility, communication, daily living skills, and overall independence. Clinics are located across Southwest Florida in Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, and Immokalee .

Roles and Responsibilities of Each Position:

Physical Therapists:

As a Physical Therapist (PT), you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with movement-related impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities. You will design, implement, and modify treatment plans to alleviate these issues, promote health and wellness, and reduce the risk of injury. Additional responsibilities include consultation, education, research, and administrative duties. Success in this role requires professionalism, critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, effective time and resource management, stress management, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Requirements: Bachelors, Masters, or Doctor of Physical Therapy required, active Florida Physical Therapy Licensure or eligibility to obtain,BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).

Occupational Therapists:

As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will design, implement, and adjust interventions to improve function, promote health and wellness, and reduce the risk of injury or disability. Additional responsibilities include consultation, education, research, and administrative duties. Success in this role requires professionalism, critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, effective time and resource management, stress management, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Requirements: Education: Baccalaureate Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy, active Florida State Occupational Therapist licensure or eligibility to obtain, BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).

Speech Language Pathologists:

As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will provide screening, evaluation, treatment, and education for individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. You will adhere to all American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) professional standards and be actively involved in administration, consultation, education, and research.

Requirements: Master's Speech-Language Pathology,Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC),Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility to obtain,BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support),
