Construction Accountant
Grace Roofing & Sheet Metal Enterprise has an immediate opening for a Construction Accountant to join our growing team. We are a local reputable family owned and operated roofing company serving South Florida.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with the project manager and unit managers for managing objectives, goals and performance as well as working with the estimating department
- Support activities concerned with the reporting and control of the close process, forecasting and planning
- Responsible for reconciling bank accounts and credit cards.
- Prepare weekly Subcontractor and vendor payments.
- Prepare monthly sales commission report.
- Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly financials.
- Monthly tracking and adjusting of Cost of Goods Sold.
- Maintain WIP report
- Perform Job Cost Analysis.
- Assist with Pricing of Services.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit and collections.
- Support purchase order requisitions and material ordering.
- Manage inventory, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting.
- Prepare year-end 1099.
- Ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines.
- Ability to develop strong analytical skills.
- Strong customer focus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work daily during specified business hours in order to meet deadlines.
- QuickBooks experience required.
- Construction background desired but not required .
