Technical Product Owner - Unified Communications

We build products and experiences and deliver projects for Morgan & Morgan’s clients, employees, and partners. From tools that make it easier for clients to start their cases to projects streamlining legal staff’s workflow, we do it all.
We’re looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our IT Programs & Strategy team with significant scope and impact supporting several different areas of the business. This is an in-office position, preferably Orlando.
Responsibilities
As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of high-impact in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensure alignment with business goals, and deliver high-quality features and new capabilities that meet the firm’s needs.
This role requires someone with a strong technical background, ability to communicate complicated solutions clearly, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. You will manage all core Scrum ceremonies for your product, including sprint planning, ad-hoc stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure team alignment and continuous delivery.
Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following:
- Define and articulate the product vision and roadmap, including new enhancements and technical capabilities.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with strategic goals.
- Lead the collaboration of sprints, sprint goals, and ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Write clear and actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria to guide development.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain momentum in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Champion agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in product ownership or management within Unified Communications (UC) or telephony.
- 2+ years of experience with Jira (or similar) and comfortable with working in a Jira/Agile environment.
- Proven experience and strong understanding with platforms such as Salesforce, cloud-based telephony (Dialpad preferred), and voice AI technologies.
- Familiarity with SMS protocols, messaging APIs, and omnichannel communication platforms.
- Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization.
- Flexibility and adaptability to rapid change.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to the legal industry and technology in law firms a plus.
- CPM, CSPO, or Agile certification a plus.
