Accounting Manager (Plantation)
We are seeking a hands-on Manager with a strong background Accounting, managing and reviewing activities related to month-end close, accounts receivable, billing, credit and collections, cash application and maintaining accurate customer records. The ideal candidate should also have a process improvement mindset.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close cycle across all locations.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards like Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Managing and reviewing activities related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, credit and collections, cash applications, and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting staff involved in customer-related tasks, providing guidance and support on complex issues.
- Identifying and implementing strategies to streamline financial workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve overall customer service delivery.
- Develop ad hoc reports using advanced Excel techniques, Google Sheets, and/or Power BI etc.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, tax, and operations teams to optimize accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
Requirements:
- 4 year degree in Accounting
- 4+ years experience with GL Accounting
