Director of Multifamily Assets Vacatia

The Vacatia Berkley Group is a collection of 56 independent timeshare resorts across the U.S. with more than $2.5Bn of assets under management. Vacatia Berkley Group has partnered with Fairfax Financial Holdings to continue an aggressive expansion of additional timeshare and hospitality assets.
Position Summary:
Vacatia Berkley Group is seeking an experienced Director of Multifamily Assets to oversee the financial and operational performance of our multifamily real estate portfolio. This role will be responsible for asset management, financial analysis, and operational oversight to maximize asset value and performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in multifamily real estate asset management, strong financial acumen, and expertise with property management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset & Portfolio Management:
- Develop and execute strategic asset plans to enhance property performance and optimize investment returns.
- Monitor and analyze property financials, operating performance, and market trends to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, expense reduction, and operational efficiencies.
- Oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and property repositioning efforts.
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure execution of asset strategies and operational excellence.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and return on investment (ROI) assessments for multifamily properties.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards, variance reports, and benchmarking analyses.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership and investors.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and pro forma analysis for existing assets and potential acquisitions.
Operational Oversight & Compliance:
- Actively manage asset and corporate level property management teams
- Ensure properties comply with local regulations, lease agreements, and company policies.
- Work closely with property management teams to ensure leasing, occupancy, and tenant satisfaction goals are met.
- Evaluate and implement best practices in property operations and technology enhancements.
- Utilize property management systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs), leasing metrics, and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in multifamily asset management, real estate investment, or property operations.
- Experience with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, or similar) is required.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills with expertise in Excel and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of multifamily market trends, lease-up strategies, and property valuation.
- Ability to collaborate with property management teams and drive operational performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
