We are looking for a Cardiac Surgeon to join the elite Lee Health Heart Institute with our Cardiothoracic Surgery Team!

Position Information:

The Heart Institute is growing! We are expanding to support the community and adding to our already robust interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery service lines. This surgeon will join our team in performing foundational cardiac surgery including CABG, open Valve repair/replacement as well as dissections. However, we are seeking a surgeon with niche skills that will assist us with the growth and development of our program to the next level. (i.e. Minimally invasive valve surgery, AHF device implants, etc.)

Qualifications:

• ACGME Fellowship Training in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Board Certified Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
• Active, Unrestricted State of Florida Medical License (or the ability to obtain prior to start with the organization)
• Active, Unrestricted DEA
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Current Certification for Implantation of Durable, Implantable Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) with case logs in the past 12 months to validate competency
• Must meet credentialing requirements as established by the LMHS Medical Staff Services department
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
• EPIC EHR with Healthcare AI to reduce charting requirements
