Concrete Worker

At Equix, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Pipeline Construction, Gas Distribution, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Facility Construction and Fabrication, and Trenching services.We are seeking a skilled Asphalt/Concrete Finisher to join our team, specializing in finishing concrete for sidewalks, driveways, and streets. As a Concrete Finisher, you will also be involved in various other concrete projects as required. This position involves working outdoors and requires individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Responsibilities: Knowledge and experience in concrete finishing, particularly for sidewalks, driveways, and streets. Flexibility to undertake other concrete projects as needed. Setting up forms to contain the concrete, as well as cleaning and leveling the surface on which the concrete will be poured. Installing rebar or mesh for added strength if required. Using various tools, such as trowels and floats, to smooth and level the surface of the concrete. Creating different textures or patterns on the surface as needed. Forming edges and joints in the concrete to enhance its appearance and control cracking. Ensuring that edges are straight and corners are well-defined. Applying curing compounds or sealers to promote proper curing and prevent cracks. Taking measures to protect the concrete surface from adverse weather conditions during the curing process. Patching and repairing damaged or uneven concrete surfaces. Blending repaired areas with the surrounding concrete to maintain a uniform appearance. Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment. Removing excess concrete and debris from the work area. Inspecting finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards. Addressing any defects or imperfections in the concrete. Perform all other duties as assigned.
