Following the growth of its flagship in NYC, a year-round home in Aspen, and a seasonal summer presence in East Hampton, the Indonesian-French restaurant—led by husband-and-wife team Ochi and Cedric Vongerichten—found a natural next home in Miami. Known for vibrant Southeast Asian flavors layered with French technique, Wayan offers bold, shareable dishes alongside playful, tropical-leaning cocktails designed for long nights and easy conversation. The Wynwood opening marks Wayan’s first Miami outpost: a New York restaurant group stepping into Wynwood with the same spirit—relaxed, expressive, and meant to be shared.

Wayan Miami — Front of House Open Evening Positions

Wayan Miami is building a warm, professional, and energetic Front of House team. We are seeking hospitality-driven individuals who take pride in providing thoughtful, attentive service and understand the importance of teamwork, consistency, and communication.

All positions require professionalism, reliability, and a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences. We are committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace for team members from all backgrounds.

Available EVENING Front of House Positions

  • Servers

  • Bartenders

  • Server Assistants / Food Runners

  • Hosts / Hostesses (higher hourly rate)

General Responsibilities (All FOH Positions)

  • Deliver warm, professional, and knowledgeable service to all guests

  • Maintain strong communication with teammates and kitchen staff

  • Uphold service standards, cleanliness, and presentation at all times

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency while remaining calm and composed

  • Assist teammates whenever needed to ensure smooth service flow

  • Arrive on time, in uniform, and prepared for each shift

Server

Servers who are confident, attentive, and knowledgeable, with a passion for hospitality and food-driven service.

Responsibilities

  • Guide guests through the menu, food, and beverage offerings

  • Maintain full station ownership from greeting to farewell

  • Accurately input orders and manage tables efficiently

  • Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful service

  • Handle guest concerns professionally and proactively

Requirements

  • Prior serving experience preferred

  • Strong communication and multitasking skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry 25+ lbs

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability

Bartender

Bartenders who are service-focused, detail-oriented, and efficient, with strong fundamentals and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar

  • Engage guests professionally at the bar and dining room

  • Accurately manage orders, tickets, and payments

  • Support servers and service flow as needed

Requirements

  • Bartending experience preferred

  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer

  • Florida Responsible Vendor / Alcohol Service Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability

Server Assistant / Food Runner

Support-focused team members who keep service moving smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Run food and beverages quickly and accurately

  • Clear, reset, and maintain tables throughout service

  • Refill water, assist servers, and anticipate guest needs

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and FOH teammates

Requirements

  • Restaurant experience preferred but not required

  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry 25+ lbs

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability

Host / Hostess

Friendly, organized, and professional hosts who set the tone for the guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests warmly and efficiently

  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and table flow

  • Communicate wait times clearly and accurately

  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand

  • Support FOH team as needed during service

Requirements

  • Host or guest-facing experience preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability

Additional Requirements (All FOH Positions)

  • Florida Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain

  • Florida Responsible Vendor / Alcohol Service Certification (for applicable roles)

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
