Your Specific Responsibilities:

Participates in the training development process by:

  • Supporting and monitoring course management tasks in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Demonstrate analysis/needs techniques to assess and determine instructional content
  • Research and review existing materials and resources on specified topics
  • Use instructional design and development process appropriate for the project and audience
  • Coordinates with subject-matter experts (SMEs) the development of new training
  • Incorporates changes to existing trainings after working with SMEs
  • Organize and develop course materials and handouts using current visual styles and techniques.
  • Organize and develop training procedure manuals and guides
  • Communicating with SMEs about issues requiring action
  • Providing technical guidance and skill in the development of statewide training in administrative services using multiple formats, including online self-paced interactive (OSPI)
  • Narrating OSPI training modules
  • Assists in the setup of other training units
  • Other improvements as desired.

Provides skilled services in site maintenance and administration for all assigned electronic systems which include, but are not limited to, web communications (external and internal), SharePoint (statewide internal), and the current LMS. Researches and proposes technologies for utilizing the latest software tools to create and distribute digital content.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Effectively demonstrate instructional solutions and strategies, present information using appropriate instructional techniques, formats, and software, deliver materials on time and communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form.

Reading comprehension, time management, learning strategies, writing, speaking, implementation planning, instructing, coordination, active listening, education and training, computer literacy

Ability to prepare and evaluate a variety of written training materials such as trainer manuals, curricular or reports.

Qualifications:

Minimum - Firm understanding of Adult Learning principles and theory. Knowledge of the principles to effectively design and deliver e-Learning, Online Training (OLT), and Instructor Led Training (ILT). 2 years’ experience working within the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to analyze and transform raw data into effective adult training materials. Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others to maintain working relationships.

Preferred - Preference will be given to someone with experience and knowledge in using Articulate Global 360 software, the ability to independently conduct research and compile data for training content development, as well as the understanding and application of relevant policies and procedures.
