Receptionist and Case Worker

Position Summary:
One Community Now is seeking a compassionate, highly organized Administrative Assistant & Case Worker to serve as a welcoming first point of contact and provide critical support across all of our community-based programs. This dual-role position is ideal for a bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) professional who is passionate about helping individuals and families access services that promote stability, recovery, and self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate will be comfortable answering phones and assisting walk-in clients, while also managing intake and providing direct case management support for programs such as veterans assistance, housing stability, food insecurity, and recovery services.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Greet and welcome clients, guests, and community partners in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls, provide accurate program information, and route calls/messages to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain organized and confidential front-office records, appointment calendars, and program materials.
- Assist with intake appointments and ensure completion of required documentation and data entry into internal systems.
- Weekly general office cleaning.
Case Management Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine client needs and eligibility for One Community Now programs.
- Provide support with resume development and job readiness services.
- Assist clients in obtaining vital documents such as birth certificates and ID letters.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation in alignment with agency standards and confidentiality policies.
- Serve as a caseworker for clients engaged in any One Community Now program, ensuring a holistic, client-centered approach to care.
- Provide appropriate referrals and follow-up services to ensure continued progress and connection to community resources.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in an administrative, client service, or case management role.
- Passion for serving vulnerable and diverse populations, including veterans, families, and individuals impacted by poverty and addiction.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Pasco County HMIS and ESG programs a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with frequent client interaction.
- Occasional participation in community outreach events or program-related meetings.
- Some moderate lifting (up to 50lbs) and standing for extended periods will be required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 - 40 per week
