Server

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, located on tropical Sanibel Island, is seeking a full time experienced  Server to join our team. Ideal candidates have attention to detail, take pride in their work, and have a positive influence in a team setting. Candidates must be hardworking, have a strong work-ethic, and be a responsible team player.

Job Summary:

To provide guests with a memorable experience that encourages return visits. Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional dining and entertainment experience for all of our guests.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains a Guest and team focus while performing duties
• Assumes responsibility for quality guests’ experience
• Welcome and greet guests
• Inform guests of any specials
• Recommend specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and desserts
• Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant and resort functions and services
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in point-of-sale system
• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter
• Pre-bus tables between each course
• Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment
• Complete opening and closing side work
• Maintain cleanliness and stocked work service and dining areas
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the F&B food and service.
• Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
• Attends all scheduled team member meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
• Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
• Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department
• Be familiar with resort services, amenities, and outlets.
