Medical Front Office Payment Processing Specialist Location Saint Petersburg, FL :

Job Summary: The Payment Processing position is a key position directly interacting throughout the day with all patients in a cosmetic surgery practice. Responsibilities include answering the phone, scheduling patients, checking patients in and out and accurately creating and processing patient payments using Nextech, an EMR practice management system. The position helps organize the front office for the beginning and end of the day and supports the cosmetic sales team and clinical staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule, review and accurately maintain patient schedule for doctors, nurses, aestheticians using Nextech
• Accurately create and process patient invoices for services provided using an EMR practice management and patient database system. We currently use Nextech.
• Accurately record, and track patient's award/loyalty points, discounts, and pre-paid packages
• Greet and communication with patients in person, via telephone and
• Accurate documentation of patient communication to maintain complete records and to keep doctors and staff informed of patient questions or potential issues
• Help to maintain updated patient information, treatments and schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Effectively present the medical practice and providers in a positive and well-informed manner.
• Effectively present the doctors qualifications, expertise, training and patient care philosophy
• Assist with special sales or marketing projects assigned
• Establish and foster teamwork with all office staff and support groups
• Maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude and a focused dedicated work ethic

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Highly skilled in working with computers and basic software including Microsoft word, database packages, medical scheduling software, and systems to create and process invoices for services provided or products purchased.
• Previous experience in cosmetic or elective surgery industry beneficial (non-insurance based medical practice)
• Experience working with EMR systems in cosmetic surgery industry
• Familiarity with cosmetic surgery terminology
• High school diploma
• Previous experience creating and processing detailed invoices
• Familiarity with cosmetic surgery terminology

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.25 - $21.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
