OPS Part-Time Office Assistant
The Department of Sport Management (SPM) is seeking a part-time Office Assistant who is detailed-oriented, highly organized, and dedicated to providing professional office support performing a variety of duties as assigned according to the daily needs and operations of the department. This includes but not limited to:
Job Description:
- Provide professional administrative and clerical support to the faculty and staff.
- Promote a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity and teamwork among colleagues in the workplace.
- Assist with travel and purchasing.
- Process outgoing and sort incoming mail.
- Maintain electronic scheduling calendars.
- Report needed services and repairs.
- Assist with planning and coordinating departmental events.
- Assist with producing and distributing monthly newsletter.
- Assist with social media content, edit and upload podcasts.
- Maintain inventory and track merchandise distribution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary:
$18 - $22 per hour; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.
- Customer service experience.
- High level of computer literacy and comfort using online technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ability of convey information clearly and effectively is crucial for this role.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage data and information efficiently.
- Strong time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in programs such as Adobe, Microsoft Excel and Word.
- The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, technologies, and processes.
