Diesel Mechanic
First Coast Mulch is a dynamic and expanding company with a large fleet, seeking dedicated and skilled Diesel Truck Mechanics/Technicians to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. Our mechanics are vital to maintaining our essential equipment in optimal condition. This role is perfect for those who thrive on working with complex mechanical systems and enjoy problem-solving. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy- and medium-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Diagnose issues through observation and engine fault codes.
- Repair exhaust systems and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Experience with heavy- and medium-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
- Willingness to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and driving record check.
