Job Purpose

2nd shift

The Janitor cleans and maintains the facility, particularly common spaces; halls, restrooms, cafeteria, conference rooms. The Janitor plays a crucial role in keeping buildings clean, safe and functional, and contributes to the overall quality of life within the spaces they manage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and vacuuming.
• Clean conference room tables and chairs.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and breakrooms.
• Remove workspace trash.
• Maintain organization around buildings.
• Maintain cleaning supplies.
• Maintain breakroom and restroom supplies.
• Serve as a liaison for uniforms and mats cleaning service.
• Safely operates material handle equipment, and a variety of custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, pressure washing equipment and elevated work platforms such as ladders and scissor lifts.
• Ensures facility is always presentable to guests.
• Assist facility maintenance and EHS technicians as required.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to complete required EHS training. Ability to obtain internal forklift certification.

General Job Requirements

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
• Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
