We are seeking a Permanent Senior CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional who is passionate about precision, detail, and quality. As a Senior CNC Machinist, you will play a pivotal role in the production process, utilizing your expertise in MasterCam, mill machining, and lathe machining to create top-quality components and products. This role demands a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• Interpreting and implementing technical drawings and plans to achieve the desired product.
• Using MasterCam software to program complex, high-speed machinery.
• Overseeing the machining of parts on mills and lathes, ensuring they meet the precise specifications outlined in the technical drawings.
• Applying your knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials to ensure optimal machine settings.
• Performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and safe workstation.
• Training and mentoring junior machinists, promoting best practices and encouraging continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in MasterCam, mill machining, and lathe machining.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and mechanical processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
• Familiarity with the properties of metal and other materials.
• Proven record of adhering to all safety and procedural guidelines.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or qualification is a plus.
